PathOptimizer

PathOptimizer is a plug-in for Adobe PhotoShop that automatically converts masks to a 100% optimised path.

Result characteristics

The characteristics of the path obtained are as follows:

  • Minimum number of vertices. In this way, we get a path that is easy to edit and less weighty for exporting to other applications. It also avoids the problems of some interpreters that are "crashed" with a high number of vertices.
  • Maximum quality and reliability. The resulting path exactly matches the original selection.

Why PathOptimizer

Sometimes, making a selection with a colour masking tool is simple; for instance, when a homogenous background needs to be removed. However, if what you need is a path, the selection needs to be converted, and this is where problems tend to crop up.

With traditional converters, the path obtained usually has little in common with the original selection: there are too many anchor points and poorly approximated contours. The result, in these cases, is unusable.

PathOptimizer resolves these problems by generating mathematically optimal paths.

PathOptimizer Comparisons with other applications

PathOptimizer generates more precise paths with fewer anchor points than other programs. read on Comparisons with other applications

PathOptimizer How it works

The operation of the program is very simple: first, a mask is generated with Photoshop and then PathOptimizer makes an optimal path automatically.
