David García – CEO/CTO & Cofounder

David García, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Cofounder of Imagiam, is an expert in the development of image processing software. Since 1995, he has accumulated vast experience in different fields of imaging, such as lenticular printing, automatic object recognition and motion analysis. He has developed both standalone applications and Adobe Photoshop plug-ins. His entrepreneurial attitude and business vision led him, in the year 2000, to found Imagiam, a software company dedicated to providing innovative solutions to printers, publishers and graphic designers. Since then he has directed all the developments of the organization, as well as the expansion of its IT systems.

David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and worked for two years in its Digital Image Processing Department. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Software Engineering from UPC. He is a mountaineering enthusiast and has climbed normal routes in the Pyrenees and the Alps. He enjoys tennis and occasionally participates in local amateur tournaments. He likes sports in general, but also chess and cooking. Single with no children, he splits his time between Barcelona and Pont de Suert (Catalan Pyrenees).

Carles Ubach – CSO & Cofounder

Carles Ubach, Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and Cofounder of Imagiam, has accumulated throughout his career extensive knowledge and experience in business and technology roles, working in multinational companies such as Siebel Systems, Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and Honeywell Bull. In these companies he learned to appreciate the added value expected from the projects and the benefits of good customer service. With his love for challenges, his creative ability and his expertise in leading multidisciplinary project teams, in 2000 he participated in the founding of Imagiam with the objective of helping its business development and growth. Currently he is responsible for customer sales and expansion into new markets. As a certified consultant, his extensive career brings added value to his function in the company.

Carles holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polythecnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and a Diploma in Business Management from the Institute of Higher Business Studies (IESE). He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA-USA). In business, he enjoys solving difficult problems by implementing solutions reached through analysis and creativity. He is a good communicator and a professor at the UPC School. He enjoys going to soccer matches, sailing with friends, playing golf, practicing yoga and, above all, spending time with his family. Married with two children, he lives with his wife in Barcelona.
