First prize, InnoBIT 2001
Imagiam High Image Techs, LTD was the winner in the business category of the Spanish InnoBIT Capital and Projects Forum held in May 2001 as part of the Barcelona Internet & New Technologies Fair, Bit 2001, the Fira de Barcelona’s e-business show which was held at its Montjuïc-2 exhibition centre.
More than 200 projects were submitted to Innobit, from which 20 finalists were chosen to exhibit their projects during the BIT exhibition. Organised by the Fira de Barcelona and coordinated by Heptium Events, Innobit was sponsored by Terra, IBM and La Caixa with the collaboration of Barcelona Activa, Barcelona Emprèn, La Salle, Heptium Consulting, DiamondCluster and First Tuesday.
Finalist in Emprenedors-e 99
David García, the instigator and founder of what would later become Imagiam High Image Techs, LTD, was a finalist in the Emprenedors-e 99 competition, aimed at encouraging the creation of enterprises in the field of Information and Communication Technologies.
Some 195 projects developed by 380 entrepreneurs were entered for Emprenedors-e 99. The competition was instigated by the Commission for the Information Society and was sponsored by Banco de Sabadell, Ericsson and the Retevisión Foundation.
